Haiti - Politic : Turnaround of Martelly on the Board of Directors of the BRH
In a letter addressed to the Commission Finance and Budget of the Senate of the Republic, dated September 20, 2011, the President Michel Martelly, returned on his decision of July 19, to renew totally the Board of Directors of the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) and proposes to replace three of the five Council members.

The members who no longer have the favor of the Head of State are : Philippe Lahens Vice Governor), Marc-Hebert Ignace (Director General) and Henry Volmar (member of the Board). They are replaced respectively by: Georges Henry Fils, Jean Badin Dubois and Georgette Jean Louis.

Charles Castel (Governor), and Fritz Duroseau (Council member), will now be the only two members of the Preval government in place.

"Surprisingly, the President Michel Martelly has modified the Board of Directors of the BRH," has confirmed the President of the Senate Commission, Jocelerme Privert "This same Board had been renewed by the President Martelly on July 19 [...] The President has this prerogative, but why he is returned on a decision already taken ?" wonders the Senator which indicates that the Commission will have to return on its report which was to be submitted to the Assembly.
