Haiti - Politic : At the approach of the general policy statement, the Parliament remains divided
According to Sorel Jacinthe, the President of the Lower House, talks were initiated between the two chambers to decide the date on which the presentation of the general policy statement of the Government should be held. Rumors suggest that the presentation in the lower house could take place tomorrow, Tuesday. If the general policy of the Government is voted with a majority, it could be presented and submitted to the vote of the Senate Wednesday. According to various sources, only a few positions remaining to be filled so that the new government is fully constituted.

The Deputy Abel Descolilnes (Mirebalais - Boucan Carré)asserts that the vote of his group is not yet acquired for Garry Conille. The Deputy indicated that his group did not require "the sharing of responsibilities, but rather a right to a say."

The Senator Simon Dieuseul Desras (Centre) on Friday called his colleagues of the G16 not to take part in the next government. After the ratification of the Prime Minister, the portfolios of Culture, Commerce and 2 Secretary of State "whose the Executive has probably not the necessity" and that it considers insignificant were donated to the G16 "You must leave the flexibility to the President Martelly and Prime Minister Conille to form their government."

The Senator Jean Hector Anacacis (West) who abstained during the vote on ratification, denounces the fact that the Senators from the majority bloc (G16) have been fooled by the President Martelly and the Prime Minister ratified. He recalled that the vote in favor of Garry Conille last Tuesday in the Senate remains fragile, stressing that the dispute between the Duvalier sector whose the Prime Minister comes and the political groups in parliament is far from being resolved.

The Senator Jean William Jeanty (Nippes - Southwest), who voted against the ratification of the Prime Minister-designate said Saturday not understand the position of his colleague Simon Dieuseul Desrais. He believes, like the Senator Jean Hector Anacacis that the G16 has been fooled in the negotiations, because the Dr. Conille had absolutely nothing to offer. The President Martelly had already retained the majority of ministerial portfolios.

The Deputy Eloune Doréus of the Organization of People in Struggle (OPL) said Sunday that members of the G58 the new majority in the Lower House, are still unable to reach a common position for the approval or not of statement of General Policy of the Prime Minister ratified. He hoped that the speech of Dr. Conille include a development plan for all constituencies of the country and take into account all the demands of the Haitian people without neglecting the important issues of the state including: the Interim Commission for the Reconstruction of Haiti (IHRC), the country's sovereignty, the mandate of the Minustah and the creation of the new National Defence Force.

For his part, the Sputy Arcluche Louis-Jeune (Alternative - Grand’Anse, SouthWest), warned that not everything was set for Dr. Conille. He must expect a failure if the statement of General Policy did not meet the priorities.

According to the sociologist Antoine Augustin who welcomes the ratification of Dr. Garry Conille, the latter will have to work in the reorganization or the modernization of the state, the reconciliation of the Haitian people and the resolution of the problem of dependence in the country. He calls on the Prime Minister to work with the President in the sense of national interests and wishes that conditions be created for the reconstruction or the refoundation of a political project, aiming to the welfare of every Haitian. Finally, he invites the Prime Minister, to promote the "dialogue Haitiano-Haitian."
