Haiti - Economy : MonCash acquires a new technological platform
MonCash, the first Haitian provider of mobile financial services, improves the user experience by investing in a new high-tech service platform adapted to the globalization of mobile wallet services around the world.

The new, more user-friendly system will simplify the use of a more powerful MonCash application while maintaining a high degree of inviolability and expanding the ability to reach more departments, particularly for customer service.

All usage features such as: send money from account to account (P2P), receive international transfers (IMT), pay merchants for goods and services, pay bills and top up a Digicel number will be available as in the past but easier and faster to access with additional features.

All users of the application will have to update it on their phone by following the instructions given when they connect to the service after the migration which will take place during the night of Saturday August 5th to Sunday August 6th with a unavailability of the service. The personal information of subscribers who use the MonCash application or who dial *202# such as user identification, telephone number, PIN, and available amounts will be retained.

"We strive to always bring more to our users and, to do this, we must constantly adapt and improve. This decision is also part of it," said Maarten Boute, COO of the Digicel Group, who recalls that after having revolutionized telephony, Digicel intends to make financial inclusion a reality for many Haitian citizens.

MonCash also reminds customers to submit valid identification documents so that they can carry out all their financial transactions with MonCash. Starting August 6, customers will be prompted to update the MonCash app by visiting the App Store or Google Play Store.
