Haiti - Environment: Signing of a MoU between the OPC and Impulse Webmédias
As part of the fight against environmental degradation and for the promotion of a healthy environment for a better living environment, Renan Hédouville, Citizen Protector of the Office of the Citizen Protector (OPC) and Ms. Lovelie Stanley Numa, President and CEO of Impulse Webmédias, signed a Memorandum of Understanding last week

This protocol will make it possible to support Impulse Webmédias, a young organization of journalists as information professionals, but above all as citizens, through concrete actions, specified Raphaël Théoma Daniel, Director of Promotion of OPC

"The signing of this document is of capital importance, because the issue of the environment is very important in terms of human rights," underlined Renan Hédouville, who explained that the OPC, as an institution for promotion and for the protection of human rights, broadens its mission by addressing the issue of human rights in a broader context, placing particular emphasis on the right to a peaceful and healthy environment.

Ms. Lovelie Stanley Numa, stressed that thanks to this agreement and the support of the OPC, her team plans to raise awareness among the population through training, articles and podcasts related to environmental protection and sustainable development, in order to encourage every Haitian to become eco-citizens in their daily lives.
