iciHaiti - World Teachers’ Day : Message from the National Education Fund
As part of the celebration of World Teachers' Day, the National Education Fund (FNE), financed by the diaspora (5 cents on each minute of incoming communication and 1.50 US dollars, on money transfers ) delivered an message of circumstance.

Message from the FNE :
"Across the world, October 5 is an occasion that reminds us, every year, of our responsibility towards our teachers. These heroes and heroines not only transmit knowledge to the children of the country, they are the ones who build the future, who will enlighten the minds of generations to come.

This celebration is of particular importance for the National Education Fund (FNE), which has a clear mandate to finance education in Haiti. It is true that the FNE builds good schools so that children can learn in good conditions, but it also helps to pay them and finances their training. We recognize the central role of teachers who have the responsibility to train coherent citizens, who will allow the Nation to remain strong tomorrow.

Teachers are the main actors in the social transformation of the country. They devote their time, their talent and their knowledge, despite not always easy conditions, to share the bread of education and dedication. For the year 2022-2023, the FNE disbursed 909,656,000.29 gourdes to finance the Special Free School Program (PROSGATE), in this program the FNE pays teachers, across the country.

The FNE is committed to continuing to support the work of teachers, and to helping enable them to develop their professional skills. We invite every Haitian, in Haiti and in the diaspora, to salute the work of teachers, who dedicate their lives to allowing every child to benefit from a quality education."
