Haiti - Tourism : Strength, weakness and opportunities of the Cap-Haitien Destination
The very first Municipal Forum on the opportunities of the Cap-Haitien Destination, which brought together experts, local entrepreneurs, representatives of different institutions or NGOs carrying out projects in the municipality, political decision-makers and committed citizens this past weekend. was a real success according to the Municipal Commission.

This Forum, which took place around a clear vision: "Destination Cap-Haitien, land of opportunity" made it possible to discuss the challenges and prospects of the city of Cap as a tourist destination, pursuing various objectives:

- Institutionalize a space for dialogue and information sharing between the different actors of Capoise civil society, international institutions, the private business sector and the Municipality;
- Facilitate civil society to fully play its role as a safeguard;
- Show entrepreneurs in Cape Town and the North business and investment opportunities, in order to better position themselves.

Forces of the Cap-Haïtien Destination:
Cultural and historical heritage:
Cap-Haïtien, a city classified as the country's national heritage since 1995, is a city rich in history and culture/ With its golden sandy beaches, turquoise waters, majestic mountains and vibrant cultural festivals, this destination has everything to become a driving force economic and social development.

Biodiversity and natural environment:
The natural beauty of nature, the mountains, the Caribbean Sea and nature reserves. Environmental protection and promotion of eco-tourism can be important strengths for the destination;

Unexploited tourism potential:
Cap-Haïtien has immense potential in terms of tourism, but it still remains largely unexplored, leaving room for considerable growth opportunity in this sector;

The metropolis of Cap-Haïtien exerts an attraction with assets such as its port, its airport, or even its accessibility compared to other municipalities in the region and its proximity to the Dominican Republic via and also the cruise stopover in Labadie.

Weaknesses of the Cap-Haïtien Destination:
