Haiti - Politic : Daniel Supplice ready to take on all challenge...
The new Minister to the Presidency in charge of Haitians living abroad, the sociologist Daniel Supplice in his speech at his inauguration, has clearly said he was aware of inheriting of a Ministry to rebuild, where everything is to be done, showing his combativity, saying ready to ake on all challenge, without fear of failure, without fear of telling the truth and accept the consequences...

"...we always tend to think that being a Minister, the choice that makes the President of the Republic of Haiti of a citizen to be Minister, is a choice that is based on competence, knowledge, know-how, moral... it's obviously that we are looking for these qualities. But I know, Mr. President [...] that the choice of being Minister is a political choice. This is a political choice and it is a privilege for me in a quarter century to have been selected on two occasions for the post of Minister in this country, I have already served as Minister 25 years ago and I am still today.

This privilege, Mr. President, I owe it to yourself first, to you Mr. Prime Minister for having accepted that I'm part of the ministerial cabinet. During the day there is a word that has come back on five occasions "soldier"... I must tell you that we are in our eleventh installations now, it's a marathon, they are 10 years younger than me, I can understand that they resist [laugh] me too I arrive yet to resist... Mr. President, Mr. Prime Minister, the soldier, this is not the one who wears the uniform, the soldier is the one who speaks the truth and who assume the consequences of telling the truth, the soldier is the one who knows that the war, whether political, economic or military, is earned after the counting of wins battles.

Mr. President, I know how to fight, I have already fought, I lost, I won too. When you give me a ministry like this: 54 million gourdes as budget, 11 vehicles of which only one works, no organic law, 4 mixed directions, services scattered containing sections that can not be justified... it's obviously that we have the impression that they throws me somewhere in a gaguerre "jete comme un kòk sans Sapatonn" [laugh]

[...] I am sociologist of training, the sociologists have the habit of remaining quiet to hear, to watch, sometimes not to say anything and even to be assimilated to something that they are not. I know you expect results if you give us the means Mr. President, you will get results. I promise you that, I owe you this, because when I joined the campaign Martelly at the time, you were not, allow me the expression, "frequently". If I was afraid to lose, I would not have taken part, I'm not afraid to lose, I'm not afraid to fight, we fought and we won Mr. President..."
