Haiti - FLASH : 51 people indicted in the Assassination of the President, including Martine Moïse, Claude Joseph and Léon Charles (list) 20/02/2024 07:42:41
In his 122-page order, he indicted 51 people including, among others : Martine Moïse, former First Lady of Haiti, the former Prime Minister a.i. Claude Joseph, the former Director General of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) Léon Charles, current Permanent Representative of Haiti to the Organization of American States (OAS), whom he refers to the Criminal Court sitting without jury assistance to be tried for their alleged involvementin the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse Léon Charles is accused of murder, attempted murder, illegal possession and carrying of weapons, conspiracy against the internal security of the State and criminal association. Martine Moïse and Claude Joseph are accused of complicity and criminal association. Martine Moïse denounced "political persecution" on social networks.
