More than 6 million USD for the Mission Brian Nichols, Assistant Secretary for Western Hemisphere Affairs, said : "We thank the United Kingdom for its contribution of £5 million (± US$6.3 million) to the Multinational Security Support Mission (MMSS) in Haiti. The rapid deployment of this mission to help the Haitian National Police restore security is essential. We urge other international partners to join us in increasing their support." Contraction of 1.8% of GDP in 2024 The World Bank in the document "World Economic Outlook" published in March of this year, predicts that the economy of Haiti, because of the crisis, will contract by -1.8% in 2024, but with the possibility of a recovery of +1.9% in 2025.
