Early Thursday, April 25, 2024, the 9 members of the Presidential Transitional Council (CPT) (Smith Agustin; Louis Gérald Gilles; Fritz Alphonse Jean; Edgard Leblanc Fils; Laurent Saint-Cyr; Emmanuel Vertilair; Leslie Voltaire; Régine Abraham and Frinel Joseph) took the oath at the National Palace

"I swear before God and before the nation to observe and do and faithfully observe the Constitution and the Laws of the Republic, to respect and ensure respect for the rights of the Haitian people, to work to work to the greatness of the Fatherland, to maintain national independence and territorial integrity."

After their swearing-in, the members of the CPT were officially installed in their positions as part of a ceremony which took place at the Welcome Villa in the presence of, among others, the Diplomatic Corps, political actors and special guests.



In his speech, the Prime Minister a.i., Mr. Michel Patrick Boisvert, invited his compatriots to work towards strengthening and consolidating democratic achievements with a view to contributing to the recovery of our dear Haiti “It is a desired Haitian solution by Haitians through political parties and civil society organizations, with support from the international community, with the aim of bringing together the vital forces of the nation and bringing them together around an inclusive agreement for the great national rescue."

Furthermore, Madame Régine Abraham, observer at the CPT, who spoke on behalf of all the members of the council, believes that the population expects a lot from the CPT while noting the five priority projects of this presidential structure called to resolve the problems urgent issues facing the country: restoration of public security, the organization of the national conference and constitutional reform, the holding of elections, the restoration of the rule of law and institutional and economic recovery.
