Haiti - Literature : Gary Klang responds to the Minister Daniel Supplice 12/11/2011 14:00:47 "...Mr. Minister, Your letter, so brotherly, so generous, allowed me to better understand something of essential : one of the greatest happiness of the man is to perform an action whose the others are proud. I am happy to have written a work that Haiti and the Haitian literature can contemplate with satisfaction. While the double honor of Prime Minister Jean Charest and of my friend, the Kabylian poet Karim Akouche, had close me even more of my host country and of Algeria (Kabylia), your letter, for its part, strengthens my connection with the land where I was born. But these loyalties are not incompatible, because with Karim, founder of the troop La Traversée, we are fighting for the rapprochement of cultures and the universal brotherhood, guided by the desire to unite men and of relight the stars. In the state of desolation where the earthquake has left Haiti, I am happy to be able to bring my ray of light. Please accept, Mr. Minister, the assurances of my highest consideration, Gary Klang" See also : https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-4228-haiti-literature-daniel-supplice-pays-tribute-to-the-writer-of-the-diaspora-gary-klang.html HL/ HaitiLibre
