Haiti - Economy : Laurent Lamothe discussed of a set of priority issues
Laurent Lamothe, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Religious Affairs, had a working lunch yesterday Tuesday, December 6, at his residence, with members of the private sector, representatives of the Government, of Parliament and of the civil society. Urgent follow up of negotiations
The Minister Lamothe, after summarizing the main lines of cooperation discussed with the Heads of State and Government during the first Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), has focused on the urgent follow up of negotiations for investment agreements with Latin American societies, willing to inject capital in Haiti for economic recovery and social development.

Law on the co-ownership
Chancellor Lamothe took the opportunity to point out the soon proposal to Parliament of a law on co-ownership that will help investors who wish to implement high-tech industries in Haiti.

Venezuelan delegation of men and businesswomen
He drew attention to the arrival, Tuesday, December 6, 2011 in Port-au-Prince, of a arge delegation of Venezuelan men and businesswomen interest to invest in many areas in Haiti.

Jacmel Airport
The Foreign Minister had a long discussion with his guests about large investment project relating to the renovation of the airport of Jacmel, and the infrastructures that will be implemented in the capital of the Southeast to host next year, an international meeting of Latin American leaders. This meeting will inaugurate the International Day of Solidarity between Haiti and the States of South America to recall the historic friendship between Simon Bolivar and the founders of the Independence of Haiti.

Finally, the Chancellor of Haiti thanked the Senators and Deputies present, as well as business leaders from Haiti, members of Government and leaders of commercial and industrial organizations of the civil society for their determination to to accompany the President of the Republic in its struggle for a productive state aiming the prosperity through job creation, freedom of enterprise and wealth creation through investment.
