Haiti - Social : $10 million for the year-end festivities
Garry Conille, accompanied by several ministers and secretaries of state announced yesterday during a press conference to the Primature that $10 million [400 million gourdes] will be allocated to cover the activities during the period of Christmas and of New Year, and that this amount was intended to stimulate the Haitian economy.

"We do not have great resources currently, but we want to celebrate the festive season with the population. We have made ​​available to the ministries more than 400 million gourdes, so that they can undertake activities for the people throughout the territory", declared during a press conference the Prime Minister Garry Conille.

A Christmas of Solidarity
"...These findings and reflections cast a note of bitter sadness in the range of entertainment available, it inspires us a deep compassion for all those who have no chance to live the Christmas and New Year as moments of hope, brotherhood, individual exhalations and family enchantment. 30.000 jobs
For his part the agronomist Docteur Hébert, Minister of Agriculture Natural Resources and Rural Development declared "As part of the Ministry of Agriculture we think create about 30,000 jobs, they are temporary jobs, but arrangements will be made as the Prime Minister said recently so that structural programs are implemented over the next year."

The amount announced by the Government aims to stimulate the economy, but also to involve society in the holidays, for the realization of public entertainment, the organization of games and social activities in neighborhoods.

Craft fair

Organisation

Women
For her part, Yanick Mézil, Minister for Women and women's rights intends to distribute gifts to 16,000 women across the country, food kits will be distributed to the most vulnerable women.

Security
