Haiti - Culture : 4th anniversary of the group «Forty Five Soldiers» of Jacmel
On the occasion of its 4th anniversary, the group of Haitian Rap Creole "Forty Five Soldiers" of jacmel held Saturday, January 7, 2012, a great artistic evening at Samba Night Club with the participation of several other groups and guest artists, including B.I.C, K-libr and Ouragan, Clerval Veillard and a fashion show with models of the Foundation of Young Haitian Optimist (FJHO).

The evening was an opportunity for fans of this group to appreciate the talents of these young people through its various performance. B.I.C, accompanied by its guitar, has presented several songs to the public. The majority of the texts of the artist involved, are in relation with the current critical situation of the country.

Founded in January 2008, "Forty Five Soldiers" is a fusion of several groups of Hip Hop trend of the city of Jacmel, in particular, the Group Booth Clan, Fire-G, Drama, Haiti Squad and Rap Stars. The group is composed of a dozen people, mostly young university students, who show a commitment to change lives of people around the world and especially in Haiti. The philosophy of "Forty Five Soldiers" is to train and educate the public through the messages conveyed in the various musical texts and also to project a positive image of Haitian Rap Creole.

"Despite the difficulties that the group Forty Five is faced, the work of the latter is much appreciated by the public of the Southeast. This is the result of four years of hard work," said Domond Willington, head of Public Relations of group. Since its existence the group has produced several shows, both regionally and nationally. "Text me et Nap Kenbe la" are two songs very popular currently running on the airwaves of Radio in Jacmel. According to Domond Willington "the current social and political problems in Haiti are a major source of inspiration for artists of this group aiming to denounce them through music in order to raise awareness our leaders to make decisions vis-à-vis the population."

The staff "management" of Forty Five Soldiers led by Depestre Stanley, aka Bob, has announced the release shortly of a "mixtape" with the participation of a pleiad of artists from various Haitian groups, especially B.I.C, K-Libr, Ouragan, Mystik and the Princesse Jine.
