The President of Haiti, Michel Joseph Martelly welcomes the re-election of Taiwanese President Ma Ying-jeou after the election of Saturday, January 14, 2012. The Head of State congratulates his counterpart for his victory (51.60%) and reiterates the commitment of his administration to continue and strengthen the cooperation between the two countries.
Haiti and Taiwan maintains for several years of diplomatic reports as well as commercial and cultural very fruitful. With the reelection of President Ma Ying-jeou, the President Michel Joseph Martelly is convinced that the existing relationship between the two countries will strengthen for the benefit of the people of Haiti and Taiwan.
