Haiti - Politic : Prime Minister Garry Conille met with a delegation of the OAS 19/01/2012 14:07:08
Mr. Ramdin made the presentation of the new Representative of the General Secretariat of the OAS in Haiti, François Bolduc, appointed by the Secretary General of the Organization, José Miguel Insulza, earlier this week. The delegation took the opportunity to reiterate to the Prime Minister its support for the reconstruction of Haiti and discussed with him the various areas of cooperation with the Organization. "Our commitment is high and alive, assured the Ambassador Ramdin. In addition, we are strengthening our team here in Port-au-Prince, to ensure that we can continue to serve the Government of Haiti." "My main concern is that the solutions provided by our international partners be sustainable, said the Prime Minister Conille. They should also help us to transfer the functions among Haitians to build the capacity of the State." In addition to Ambassador Ramdin and François Bolduc, were present at the meeting : Ms. Shelly Dass, Consultant; the General Guy Thibault, IACD; the Lieutenant Dennis Lepes, IACD and Ms. Catherine Pognat, Senior Officer.
