The Prime Minister-designate, Laurent Lamothe met Thursday the platform INITE. After a meeting to relate the last reunion of the Coordination with the Senator Joseph Lambert [which was not present at this meeting] the latter has informed Saturday "[...] The Prime Minister-designate is not to his first attempt, he has repeatedly sought meetings with the platform INITE. There was a first meeting with a very very small group, I am speaking of President Levaillant and of great Special Adviser for the issue of local government, Paul Antoine Bien-Aimé. This first meeting was held in a serene and cordial atmosphere, they discussed everything and nothing... Finally a new meeting was scheduled, the meeting took place the day before yesterday [Thursday, April 5].

During this meeting, the Coordination has expressed its concerns in relation to armed groups, the issue of dual citizenship and the resulting, the instability at the national level etc... The Prime Minister-designate answered to a range of questions, this was not an interrogation, but especially of exchanges of views on all levels. He mainly talked about issues of national interest.

The Coordination has never expressed its intention to share the responsibilities [...] the Coordination wanted touch of finger and understand the major political issues of the day, make understand to the Prime Minister-designate its concerns in relation to anything that might arise after the departure of the 10 senators [end of mandate], and how he would govern with the 20 who will remain...

[...] the Prime Minister-designate, asked to the Coordination if it intends to participate with him to the government. The Coordination said that it was not there yet.

We can not in any way, at the level of the "board", declare and accept the idea that we will join the new government without having the points of view of all senators, all deputies, because, ultimately, it is them who will vote. Therefore, it is necessary to have a consultation with our colleagues deputies and senators and this meeting is scheduled for Tuesday morning.

The reality, is that as a Senator we can have a position, [...] but our position should reflect as much as possible, I repeat, as much as possible, the position of the political platform to which we belong. For this reason, I urge all my colleagues to be present Tuesday [...] in order to discuss and to deliberate well before the session in Plenary Assembly of the Senate of the Republic, which will have to take a position and finally decide on the ratification of the choice of Mr. Laurent Lamothe [...]"
