Haiti - Politic : Reactions of the Government in the case of the plot against the Haitian government 14/04/2012 09:51:21
Shortly before the conference, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Laurent Lamothe also Prime Minister-designate declared "...we take that very seriously, the Dominican Government through its security agencies, has documents, records that involve and that show some assembly that are made, some plots to destabilize the Government of Haiti. We take that very seriously. We sent Thursday, on-site in the Dominican Republic, the Minister of Justice and Public Security with members of his cabinet, to analyze, to go look, to take note of documents and we are very concerned about this [...]" Frantz Bellerice, Chief of Cabinet of the Minister of Justice has confirmed the participation of Michel Pierre Brunache, Minister of Justice and Public Security, Thursday, April 12, alongside the Dominican Chancellor, Mr. Carlos Morales Troncoso, to a joint press conference in Santo Domingo, where it was about to denounce the destabilizing maneuvers revealed by the security agencies of the Dominican State. Joint statement : "...for reasons of national security the republics Dominican et aod Haitian through the Haitian Minister of Justice and Public Safety, Me Pierre Michel Brunache, and the Dominican Minister of Foreign Affairs, Carlos Morales Troncoso, and the Attorney General of the Dominican Republic, Dr. Jimenez Radhamés have jointly denounced to the national public opinion of Dominican Republicand international, that according to information supplied by security agencies of the Dominican State, the Colonel Pedro Julio Goico Guerrero, Pepe Goico, has planned a plot to destabilize the democratically elected government of President Michel Joseph Martelly. In these maneuvers Pepe Goico instructed the Haitian citizen Pierre Kanzki to initiate a campaign of discredit against the person of President Michel Joseph Martelly. This campaign is based on an accusation totally false and unfounded against the honor and the integrity of President Michel Joseph Martelly. According to information from retired Colonel Pepe Goico, Mr. Kanzki, must get in touch with other sectors of national life to execute his plan, with the objective of arriving to destabilize the Haitian government. The Haitian and Dominican governments condemn such actions of criminal in nature,conspiratorial, endangering the peace, order and tranquility of the Haitian people." The Minister Brunache has indicated that provisions had been taken by the Haitian justice to prosecute, according to law, the Haitian citizen, Pierre Kanzki whose name is listed as alleged accomplice in the context of this case, designed primarily to, 'splash' the honor and the integrity of President Martelly has affirmed, he gave free rein to the competent judicial authorities to shed full light on this serious matter, so that the guilty may be punished according to the rigors of law in this matter. Answering to journalists, the Minister of Justice stated "...the part that interests us is not the Dominican side what interests us is that there would be one or more Haitian citizens that could be capable of destabilizing the country. Because we need that the country starts, and what is important is that there is stability for investment, create jobs [...] what really interests us is to have a serene atmosphere. Every Haitian citizen or foreigner who works to create destabilization, is in violation of the law, of the laws of Haiti and in general it is assumed to have at least 10 million Haitians in front of it, because stability is good for all Haitian [...] it will belong to the justice to describe the offense, this is not the role of the Ministry of Justice nor journalists to describe the offense and I can not presume the direction that the investigation will take.
