Haiti - Education : Directory of Memory and End Study Work to the UEH 21/05/2012 11:12:04 Fritz Deshommes, Vice-Rector for Research explained "For researchers, students, but also for policy makers, it is a mine of information, data, analyzes, proposals in the areas the most diverse and most relevant, from civil engineering to the letters through the Law, Education, Economy, Management, Health, Environment, Sociology, Administration, Technology, etc... Academic leaders, preceptors, and critical readers will find an excellent tool for assessing the originality of the work submitted to their control while providing an additional means to promote creativity and the scientific spirit. This publication is sure to reopen the debate on the output memory, nature, scope. Is this real research? Can we do research at the undergraduate level? That said, one will be astonished to find in this work many projects of agro-industries, road layouts, modernization of public institutions, projects of automation of procedures... Or even concrete proposals concerning agrarian reform, traditional medicine, decentralization, customary law, judicial system, juvenile delinquency, domesticity, and many more. It is true that we are only at the first step in a process for the conservation, enhancement and validation of work and studies carried out to the UEH. It will be complemented by the integration of data from the province and other work not yet considered. In a second step, the task of researchers will be facilitated by the availability of summaries, tables of contents, keywords associated to the work presented, which will allow have a clearer idea of the content and direction of the latter. Ultimately, all texts will be digitized and made available through the Virtual Library of the UEH. The completion of this first phase would not have been possible without the participation of deans and general secretaries of the relevant faculties, students made available for this purpose and of course Executives of the Research Branch. [...] the Rectorate wishes to present his congratulations and thanks." HL/ HaitiLibre
