Haiti - Tourism : Stéphanie is not lacking energy !
Stéphanie Villedrouin the Minister of Tourism in Haiti, in international tour of promotion, took advantage of the occasion provided by the 14th Haitian Compas Festival, held in Miami, to introduce the new logo and new slogan of the Ministry of Tourism, before its official launch in Haiti on 1 June

During the Festival, wearing T-shirts and caps adorned with the new logo, members of the delegation of the Ministry of Tourism took place at the site of Bay Side Park, Miami, inside two large tents in order to meet anyone interested in learning more about the different tourist destinations in Haiti. Several banners promoting the multiple experiences of travel and attractions in Haiti were installed prominently on the Festival site.

The Regional Directors of Ministry of Tourism, the Director of Investments and members of the Cabinet of the Minister shared with those present on the site by making available to them 4 iPads showing the development of priority tourist sites.

During this musical event which brought together more than 20,000 people, the new logo was also projected on the giant screen of the site. The Minister Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin seized the opportunity of his presence on the podium of the Festival, to invite the Haitian diaspora and friends of Haiti to come to experience the country's wealth and support the Ministry of Tourism in its rebranding campaign. During her stay, the Minister gave on behalf of the Government of Haiti, a plaque of honor to Mr. Rodney Noel, the promoter of the 14th "Haitian Compas Festival" to thank him for his action for the promotion of culture and music Haitian.



During her stay in Miami, the Tourism Minister has intervened in several local media of the Haitian diaspora, such as Island TV or Radio Mega. She met with members of the Chamber of Commerce Haitian-American, met with local officials and discussed with Ted Martelly, a representative of Carnival Cruise Line, for the development of cruise tourism in Haiti. Stéphanie Villedrouin also met Mr. Serge Rodriguez, Director of Operations of "Haïtian Heritage Museum" in the Design District of Miami, Ms. Éveline Pierre, Executive Director, and Mr. Bonhomme of "Miami Dade County Public Schools," which have expressed interest in strengthening links with the Ministry of Tourism of Haiti in order to better inform and guide museum visitors interested in visiting Haiti.

Before continuing her tour in Montreal [May 22-25] and then in New York, Stéphanie had a meeting Monday in Haiti, to its Ministry, with representatives of two associations of driver-guide (ACGH and ACIDT), composed of 250 registered drivers, to put in place structures to correctly receive tourists transportation to the airport. That same day she presented plaques of honor to Brana and Barbancourt and congratulating them on their prices, respectively for the beer Prestige and the rum Barbancourt.

Tuesday, May 22, the Minister had a working meeting at the Ministry of Tourism, for the preparations of Carnival of Flowers to be held on July 27-28-29 in Haiti.
