Haiti - Social : Official launch of the program «Ti Manman Cheri»
The President Michel Martelly, accompanied by the Prime Minister, Laurent Salvador Lamothe, will proceed this Sunday, May 27, to the officially launched of the program "Ti Manman Cheri" to Cité Soleil, to the Institution Mixte Union des Apôtres.

Program definition :
"Ti Manman Cheri" is a social protection program for families with young children in school and living in extreme poverty. This program consists to regularly transfer money to these families provided they fulfill the specific commitments designed to improve their human capacities.

Objectives of the program "Ti Manman Cheri" :

  • Reduce the financial burden of education ;
  • Improve human capabilities of future generations ;
  • Improve retention and school attendance of beneficiary children ;
  • Positive influence on the quality of schools and the empowerment of women ;
  • Inject liquidity into the local economy.
