Haiti - Diaspora Florida : Success of the Mobile Consular Service in West Palm Beach
5 members of the Consulate of Haiti in Miami, went, Thursday June 7 and June 14, 2012, in West Palm Beach, as part of the new Mobile Consular Service which is part of the second part of "Sèvis Pam". Early in the morning, the team of the Consulate was on the spot, at the Salem Haitian Lutheran Church to welcome a large number of Haitian compatriots from West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Port St. Lucie and the surrounding area, equipped with their documents, for passport applications and other services offered by the new Mobile Consular Service, of Consulate. The beneficiaries have expressed their satisfaction for this service, long awaited, in the town of West Palm Beach. According to the Consul Stéphane Gilles, "several dozen applications were received during these first two days."

For its part, the Consul General, François William II, said he was very satisfied with the smooth running of the Mobile Consular Service in this city and took the opportunity to acknowledge the unconditional support given by the Rev. Elie Louissaint, who opened the doors of his church to accommodate the area residents and this new service. Mr. Guillaume, also thanked the media in general who, too, have contributed to the success of these first two days of Mobile Consular Service "Sèvis Pam".

Relying on the collaboration of each of his fellow of Miami, the Consul General is working to expand this program throughout the state of Florida in order to provide quality service and helpful to the Haitian community.

Interested persons of West Palm Beach and surrounding areas, can now every Thursday, benefit to the Salem Haitian Lutheran Church, of the following Mobile Consular Service : passport, and legal and archives.
