Haiti - Economy : Delegation of Senators, to the 3rd annual Haiti Business, Investment Expo & Conference - June 28 & 29, 2012 25/06/2012 09:07:45 The expo is scheduled for June 28 & 29, 2012 [8:00 AM – 5:00 PM] at the Cafritz Center at George Washington University, 800 21st, NW, Washington DC, Grand Ballroom. Mr. Desras will provide remarks on Thursday morning (6/28) and, along with the five other Haitian senators, will visit the expo pavilion and attend several conference sessions on investment opportunities in various economic development projects in Haiti. The 2012 Haiti Expo offers a unique opportunity for small, medium and large businesses to showcase and promote their products and services. It is also designed to inform the public of investment opportunities that exist throughout Haiti. Past expos have provided a platform for advancing dialogue and action on critical issues regarding sustainable development in Haiti and offered opportunities for job seekers to meet employers involved in the reconstruction and economic development of the country. With over 1000 participants, Haiti Business, Investment Expo & Conference, sponsored by Chemonics, Panexus, Agence Supervision et de Controle, OxFam, Miyamoto International, SciMetrika, Fonkoze, Path to Haiti and CEEPCO, has become a premier business and investment networking event. Among other invited speakers are: Mr. Paul Altidor, Ambassador of Haiti in Washington, DC, Mr. Wilson Laleau, Haiti’s Minister of Commerce and Industries, Mr. Thomas Adams, Special Haiti Coordinator at the US Department of State, Mr. Gustavo Anwasat, US Executive Director of Inter-American Development Bank, Dr. Kit Miyamoto CEO of Miyamoto International, Ms. Frederica Wilson, US Representative, Florida 17th District.
