Haiti - Economy : To Carrefour, the tax obligations are not a pleasantry 26/06/2012 12:08:43 In this regard, Yvon Jérôme has reminded to the population that the "grâce fiscale" (the fiscal due) for taxpayers who have not regularized their situation, for the year 2011-2012, expires June 30, 2012. Underlining its determination to enforce the law and collect taxes, the Mayor informed the laggards, who have not fulfilled the payment of their rental taxes and their patent, that after June 30, they will have to pay 20% interest and for those would not have paid their taxes 2010-2011, they will haver to pay 75% interest. In addition, the Mayor informed that the names of violators, will be published in newspapers and broadcast on radio and they will face the sealing of their house, if they fail to meet their tax obligations.
