Haiti - CEP : Communication problem between the Presidents of both Houses ? 05/07/2012 10:39:35
Yesterday, the Senator Simon Dieuseul Desras, President of the Senate denied this statement "I am not yet aware of this selection process [...] I am not aware of any consensus on the choice of members of CEP [...] I gave an interview last week and I said that we should define a set of criteria and see the opportunities of all persons who are qualified to fulfill this role. That was what we wished [...]. I think that a concertation must be made, of consultations between the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate of the Republic, so we got to the process before returning to National Assembly to make such a choice..." Hope that the Presidents of both Houses agree quickly on the issue, if they want that the Legislative power speaks with one voice and can put in place quickly, a process of constructive concertation...
