Haiti - Education : Results of the 9th Fundamental years 2011-2012
According to information provided by the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP) the success rate for the 9th Fundamental Year 2011-2012 at the national level is 67.23%, 119.338 admitted on 177.502 participants, we find the highest rate of admission in the department of Centre with 87%, and the worst in the Grand Anse with 52%. 13,233 have failed, and 15.891 students were absent on the 193.393 registered.

In the Department of West on 103.500 registered 91.912 participated in the exams, for 64.390 admitted or 70% (34.224 (53%) girls and 30.166 (47%) boys). 4.876 students have failed, or 5% (2.555 (52%) girls and 2.321 (48%) boys). There was 11.588 absent or 11% (6.348 girls and 5.240 boys)

In the Department of North on 16.303 registered, 15.329 attended the examinations, for 10.558 admitted or 69% (5.482 (52%) girls and 5.076 (48%) boys). 1.441 students have failed, or 9% (812 (56%) girls and 629 (44%) boys). There was 974 absent or 6% (599 girls and 375 boys).

In the Department of North-East on 6,210 registered, 5.796 participated in the examinations for 3.781 admitted or 65% (1.943 (51%) girls and 1.838 (49%) boys). 388 students have failed, or 7% (204 girls (53%) and 184 (47%) boys). There was 414 absent or 7% (227 girls and 187 boys).

In the Department of Northwest on 10.988 registered, 10.265 participated in examinations for 6.128 admitted or 60%(2.989 (49%) girls and 3.139 (51%) boys). 761 students have failed, or 7% (444 girls (58%) and 317 (42%) boys). There was 723 absent or 7% (406 girls and 317 boys).

In the Department of Centre on 6.875 registered, 6.609 participated in examinations for 5.777 admitted or 87% (2.775 (48%) girls and 3.002 (52%) boys). 43 students have failed, or 1% (17 girls (40%) and 26 (60%) boys). There was 266 absent or 4% (150 girls and 116 boys).

In the Department of the Artibonite on 23.576 registered, 22.539 attended the examinations, for 14.432 admitted or 64% (6.914 (48%) girls and 7.518 (52%) boys). 4.010 students have failed, or 18% (2.082 (52%) girls and 1.928 (48%) boys). There was 1.037 absent or 7% (563 girls and 474 boys).

In the Department of South on 9.538 registered, 9.266 participated in examinations for 4.927 admitted or 53% (2.558 (52%) girls and 2.369 (48%) boys). 698 students have failed, or 8% (347 girls (50%) and 351 (50%) boys). There was 272 absent or 3% (157 girls and 115 boys).

In the Department of Southeast on 6.994 registered, 6.671 participated in the examinations for 4.128 admitted or 62% (2.055 (50%) girls and 2.073 (50%) boys). 384 students have failed, or 6% (199 girls (52%) and 185 girls (48%) boys). There was 323 absent or 5% (177 girls and 146 boys).

In the Department of Grand Anse on 5.107 registered, 4.944 participated in the examinations for 2.563 admitted or 52% 2.563 (1.241 (48%) girls and 1.322 (52%) boys). 384 students have failed, or 8% (159 girls and 225 (59%) boys). There was 163 absent or 3% (81 girls and 82 boys).

In the Department of Nippes on 4.302 registered, 4.171 participated in the examinations for 2.654 admitted or 64% (1.238 (47%) girls and 1.416 (53%) boys). 248 students have failed, or 6% (116 girls and 132 (53%) boys). There was 131 absent or 3% (64 girls and 67 boys).
