Haiti - Politic : For Joseph Lambert, the CEP is a closed case
According to the Counsellor of the Head of State, the former Senator Joseph Lambert, the decision to set up the Permanent Electoral Council is part, of a legal proceeding, that respects the prescribed in the amended Constitution. Regarding the fact that the Electoral Council under the Constitution, provides 9 members and no 6as now, the former Senator Lambert says that this can not challenge the legality of the institution, citing as an example of resolutions adopted by the Lower House during the 49th Legislature, while only 67 of 99 members were in office.

Joseph Lambert who welcomes the determination of President Martelly laments the blocking strategy of institutions, by some parliamentarians, considering that the non appointment of 3 members of legislative bodies, falls within a political game and serves the interests of a group of elected officials who want to maintain the continuity with the Provisional Electoral Council in the logic of Gaillot Dorsainvil.

To Joseph Lambert, the CEP is a closed case and it is time to turn the page and put the cap on the formation of the Constitutional Council.
