The building will be rebuilt in the same location, but its capacity will be increased," stated the engineer Cange. In his speech, the geologist Claude Prepti indicated that the construction site presents no danger on a seismic point of view. He pointed out that the faults that cross the entire peninsula South from Lake Enriquillo through the Morne Tapion until Tiburon, do not cross the center of Petit-Goâve, but through the bay under the sea, saying that this Basilica can be rebuilt in the same place as long as the anti-seismic standards are met." Taking advantage of his visit in the town, Claude Prepti, urged on the airwaves of Radio Préférence fm, the goâvienne population, to not build anyhow, or anywhere, both in the cities that in the rural zones.
