Haiti - Justice : Judge Simonis filed a complaint against the Senator Zenny 20/09/2012 10:23:20
Pierre Lucien, who claims to have been hit by the spit of Senator Zenny, filed a formal complaint to the prosecutor of Jacmel against the Senator. Wrapped in the Haitian flag and the Constitution of 1987 in his right hand, the Professor Pierre, declared that this gesture symbolizes his revolt against the unspeakable act committed by the Parliamentary Zenny, at the expense of the democracy, of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Haitian Constitution. He deplored the fact that the Senator Zenny abuse of his power, of his parliamentary immunity and his friendship with President Martelly, to trample the law by committing such an act. The former candidate for deputy for the constituency of Jacmel, said placing his confidence in justice, to carry safely this issue, exhorting the judicial authorities of the region, including the prosecution of Jacmel, not to classify this case without further action. A few minutes later, Judge Bob Simonis accompanied by his lawyer, Me Ronald Charles, went to the Prosecutor of Jacmel to also file a complaint against Senator Zenny "At a time when we promotes the rule of law, the Parliament must position themselves about the behavior of Senator Zenny [...]" declared Bob Simonis, who wishes that the justice intervene equitably in this case. His lawyer declared "No one is above the law and no one has the right to do justice. Whether rich or poor, the law must be enforced," confident that justice will prevail and that the guilty will be punished soon. Note that this same Wednesday morning, dozens of protesters in the population of Lamandou [Jacmel] and supporters of Senator Edwin Zenny, demonstrated in the streets to demand the arrest of the Judge of Peace Bob Simonis, who is accused of corruption...
