Haiti - Reconstruction : 97 young graduates in construction trades 21/09/2012 12:19:40 The graduation ceremony was held at the Vocational Training Centre of the Reform (CFPR) to Clercine (neighborhood of Port-au-Prince). In addition to a technical training in construction and electricity, plumbing and electronics, they have benefited of a basic literacy courses [in Creole] including concepts of reading, writing and arithmetic, which, according to the section RVC are "essential" to the trades they intend to perform. In addition, Jean Orcel Léonné, the Director of the CFPR, said that sociology course and of psychosocial support that was given to these young people throughout their training has led to this "major changes" describing these young graduates of "citizens on which we can rely in the recovery process of the country." According to Section RVC, the learning of a trade must enable these young people from disadvantaged neighborhoods not only to integrate the labor market or to create their own income-generating activities, but also to contribute to the prevention and reduction of violence while participating in the strengthening of community services in their respective communities.
