Haiti - Politic : Laurent Lamothe in New York, proposes the alignment of the International Community 27/09/2012 10:01:57 The Head of Government expressed confidence, that these efforts imply the cessation of conflict, the construction of the State Nation and the Poverty Reduction "the alignment of the international community is crucial to avoid a gap between the country's national priorities and the policies of development assistance of partner countries. It is essential to establish a dialogue between the Government and donors to ensure that the efforts of all revolve around common objectives in the long term [...] As part of my different missions in Latin America, the Caribbean, Asia and Africa, I had the opportunity to visit these countries called fragile, yet it is not this fragility that is only transient, that caught my attention, but their dynamism. This potential, that extreme poverty, do not let them to show to the rest of the world," Prime Minister told the members of the G7+. Moreover, Laurent Lamothe has drew the attention of the G7+ on the results of two surveys : that of the Paris Declaration and that of the Fragile States, conducted in Haiti in 2011, with the support of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). These two surveys provide an update on progress and setbacks recorded in the framework of the implementation of international commitments. It proposed the experience of Haiti, in terms of both successes and failures, to serve the States considered fragile. Haiti's Prime Minister invited his counterpart of East Timor, Mr. Xanana Gusmoa, to come and visit Haiti in November.
