Haiti - Politic : Pierre-Richard Casimir in Kinshasa
Pierre-Richard Casimir, the Minister of Foreign Affairs left Haiti on Monday for Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), in preparation for the participation of a high-level Haitian delegation, led by the President Martelly, in the fourteenth Summit of the Francophonie, held from 12 to 14 October 2012. Azad Belfort Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, one of the specialist of the Francophonie in Haiti, accompanying the Chancellor Casimir.

The Heads of State and Government of the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) meet this year around the theme "Francophonie, environmental and economic challenges facing the global governance"

The OIF recalls that "The joint management of environmental and economic issues is a prerequisite for the realization of the Millennium Development Goals for the development since it constitutes a major challenge for the future of our planet and the strengthening of the peaceful coexistence. A Francophonie strong is a Francophonie is built around sharing of the French language and resolutely turned towards the culture of peace, democracy, human rights and sustainable development and the promotion of respect for biodiversity and cultural diversity."
