Haiti - Education : Training Seminar in cutting-sewing
In order to correct weaknesses identified in the work of graduates in recent evaluations conducted by the National Institute for Vocational Training (INFP), the Institute organized a training session of 3 weeks, for the master trainers in cutting and sewing, and of training centers recognized and/or subsidized of the metropolitan area.

In order to address these needs due to a lack of training of master trainers of the National System of Vocational Training(SNFP), the NFP has decided to set up this seminar which consists of a review of the principles of the basic cutting [mixed and the practice of female cutting] and of the teaching methodology of this technique.

INFP stresses "it should be develop both a good initial training (where you can learn the basics of a trade) as well as a better access to training, where one can improve its knowledge by adapting theme to the new technologies. The vocational training in Haiti can evolve concretely only when there will be a fruitful tripartite dialogue between the government, employers and workers."

The National Institute of Vocational Training, develops standards of acquisition of knowledge and trains teachers and trainers qualified to transmit this knowledge standardized. The Institute works to develop standardized systems of control of knowledge and of acquisition of diplomas.

For the INFP "The future of vocational training depends on a clear vision of the future of the secteur, of the commitment and the capacity to involve all stakeholders of the training." The INFP who has expertise in the areas of its competence is also willing to consent enormous efforts to inform and involve all stakeholders at different stages of the project, so that everyone is aware of its responsibilities and can take steps to apply them.
