Haiti - Social : DINEPA inaugurated 33 Water Treatment Stations 15/10/2012 12:23:35 These water treatment stations, that will serve more than 30,000 people living along the Artibonite River in the municipalities of Saint-Marc, Grande Saline, Desdunes, Estère and Marchand Dessalines, reflect the will of the Haitian government through DINEPA, to improve access to water for the population of the lower Artibonite while reducing the risk of waterborne diseases such as cholera, stressed Lionel Joseph Duvalsaint. DINEPA rely on a modest contribution of citizens, two gourdes per bucket, in order to self-finance the maintenance costs of these stations. HL/ HaitiLibre
