Haiti - Training : Signing of a MoU with the University of Auburn

As part of exploration projects of the Consulate General of Haiti in Atlanta, to support the efforts of the Partnership for the Reconstruction and Development of Haiti and following the meeting last August 6 with Robert Mcginnis, Advisor to the President of Auburn University to establish the "Modus Operandi", of a protocol of cooperation between the two entities, the Consul General Gandy Thomas has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dr. Terry Don Veal, Director of the Auburn University Center for Governmental Services in Alabama.

This cooperation covers the following areas: Scholarships for students in agriculture, construction, hotel and restaurant management ; Training sessions for the government executives ; Mutual cooperation in areas such as Agriculture, Fishing, the Reforestation etc...

The agreement must still be subject, if necessary, of modification, renewal or cancellation after consultation and consent of both parties before signature, between the representatives of Haitian government and the University of Auburn.
