Haiti - Economy : Launch of Contest of Business Plans
This Saturday, October 20, 2012, Haitian Business Accelerator and Technoserve launch their Contest of Business Plans My Future My Business (Mon Entreprise Mon Avenir - MEMA). TechnoServe, a non-profit organization with expertise in construction of business in Africa, Asia and Latin America, implements, through funding of Clinton Bush Haiti Fund, the Haitian Business Accelerator (HBA).

The Haitian Business Accelerator is a project that aims to transform small and medium enterprises growing, in viable enterprises and ready for investment, positioned to develop Haiti's formal economy and also to promote employment in Haiti.

The HBA is ooking for new or existing businesses that can benefit from the program. The HBA by its Contest of Business Plans "MEMA", will examine more than 2,000 business plans and select the 750 entrepreneurs most likely to succeed, this, over a period of 3 years. This elite group, will receive training on global best practices, in terms of business development.

During this period of 3 years, 150 entrepreneurs of the competition MEMA, will be eligible for advanced training, and 60 entrepreneurs will benefit from the program of monitoring and support of their projects. Top 20 Business Plans will each receive U.S. $ 10,000 as start-up fund.
