The company SOGEPA S.A, installed in Dame Marie, has created 180 jobs in this zone, it produces cocoa on a farm of 60 carreaux. The entire production is exported to the United States. Interesting data, each plant produced 300 pods and and three harvests are made each year. Manufacturing of synthetic hair : Two new companies specialized in the manufacture of synthetic hair (raw material imported from China) for export and partly for the local market, have settled in Port-au-Prince during the year 2012. The first company operates with 20 employees and expects to hire up to 300 people within a year. The second has 50 employees and does not immediately recruit additional staff. More than 100 new hotel rooms : Moreover, Petion-ville soon have new hotel rooms "La Villa Thérèse", whose construction works ends, will offer to its clients 23 rooms in the last quarter of 2012.
