Haiti - Energy : Power increase to the EDH
As part of its Plan of Action 2012-2013, the Electricity of Haiti (EDH) performs a vast operation of repair and rehabilitation continues on the network of the metropolitan area, in order to modernize its network and increase its electrical power in order to satisfy and better meet the demands of the population.

In a note the Directorate General of the EDH explains that rehabilitation work are underway "in the sub stations : of Canapé-vert, that will pass of a capacity of 75 MVA to 42MVA, of Toussaint Brave, the capacity will be increased by 30 MVA, of Carrefour-Feuilles, which will increase from 9MVA to 20 MVA, and finally the sub-station of Croix-des-Bouquets, that will see its capacity of 6 MVA increased to 20MVA.

Consequently, during the duration of these works, which have already begun since October 2012, power cuts will be recorded in some neighborhoods and, hours of supply will be relatively reduced until the completion of the works, in February 2013.

Directorate General of the EDH informs the inhabitants of : Street Capois, StreetSt Honoré, StreetMgr Guilloux, Street of the Réunion, General Hospital, Police Station of Port-au-Prince, Pacot, Turgeau, Ave Christophe, Ave Charles Summer, they will be without electricity Saturday, November 3, 2012, between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm."
