Haiti - Economy : Official Launch of the «Coordination framework of the External Aid for Development» 26/11/2012 08:14:06 The CAED is a fully Haitian initiative, which reaffirms the authority of the State on the effective coordination of external funding, dedicated to the development of the country. Presided by the Prime Minister, the CAED is a new institutional arrangement, in which national authorities fully exercise their strategic leadership and technical. Mechanism sovereign of planning and of coordination of external aid funds, the CAED is controlled by the Government and provides a platform for exchanges and of high-level discussions, involving all stakeholders national and international of development, whose technical and financial partners as well as civil society and the private sector. "This new mechanism represents a major advance in the field of efficient and transparent management of the development aid, in accordance with the principles of the Paris Declaration," pointed out the Prime Minister Lamothe, at the announcement made in New York on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly on September 27. To operationalize the CAED, the Ministry of Planning and External Cooperation, now hosts a Technical Secretariat of coordination, supported by various technical directorates of the Ministry, in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry Foreign Ministries and other technical ministries.
