The 12 spaces PENDHA and the 5 spaces HAITI-SANTE have a server room, connected to the Internet, they are equipped with thirty workstations and a video conferencing system of high quality. Most work in energy self-sufficiency through solar panels and a battery system.

Teachers, researchers and students Haitians can get immediate access to online resources of a network of 789 French-language universities in the world, follow university courses remotely through the device of Open and Distance Learning (ODL) deployed by AUF and especially produce digital content for educational purposes.

Less than two years after the installation of the first digital space (March 2011), 150 computer engineers were trained in the installation of IT infrastructure and management of systems and computer networks. The project PENDHA comes also in support to the research by identifying, in conjunction with Haitian partners, the research directions relevant to Haiti, by accompanying and strengthening Haiti research teams supported by teams from the North.

For Bernard Cerquiglini, rector of the AUF, "the project PENDHA represents the most ambitious digital French offers to date [...]"

By strengthening the training system in Haiti, the projects PENDHA and HAITI-SANTE should help to reduce the gap between Haiti and the most advanced countries of the region in higher education.
