Haiti - CEP : 6 representatives of CSPJ for 3 seats...
Mgr. Pierre André Dumas, one of the mediators of "Religion for Peace" has indicated that talks were continuing, with the first 3 representatives elected [Patrick Métellus, Yves Benoit Jean-Marie and Salnave Exantus], following a minority vote contested of the Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ), July 24, 2012, then installed by presidential decree to the Permanent Electoral Council (CEP) ; in order to attempt to resolve the situation and find a solution, allowing replace them with the 3 other representatives elected [Léopold Belanger, Applys Félix and Ms. Marie Carole Floréal Duclervil], on 9 October by the CSPJ.

"[...] the agreement that was signed December 24, 2012 [...] in its Article 5 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-7489-haiti-cep-an-agreement-was-finally-signed-between-the-executive-and-parliament.html asked Religion for Peace, to continue talks with the CSPJ, in order to find an outcome to the crisis, particularly regarding the first 3 members appointed and installed.

[...] currently we can not reveal everything, but we have already taken over ourstick of pilgrim with other religious sectors, the level of the platform, we contacted the members in question, there was a first meeting with them, even before the signing of the agreement, and we are in the process of resume talks at the level of two actors [Executive and Legislative], that we have arbitrated last time.

[...] In principle, another meeting is supposed to be scheduled for January 5, we expect the confirmation of different actors and also, separately, we should meet soon, the other 3 members who have been previously designated and installed within the CEP [...] and then it will only be with them. In a second time, there will be another meeting with the CSPJ, the Executive, the Legislative and us, and then we will see, if this is possible depending their availability, if the other 3 members can participate.

The essential is that we should find a modus operandi, so we can reach to find an honorable solution for everyone, because it is necessary to respect people, Most of them are heads of households, they also have their honor, we are very careful with this, but for the good of the Nation, we ask everyone also, to make a certain overshoot, to take the height and reach to find the 'moyen de moyenner' as say the Canadians, so that we can resolve the crisis and leave behind us, everything that blocks and prevents to move forward [...]

In any case, we will seek to see how to do it, because nevertheless, there was a first minute that was forwarded to the Executive, there was swearing, there was all that, we can not do, as if it was a breeze. We need to respect what has been done.

I think it's part of a dialogue, and following a real awareness of the issues and interests of Haiti, that we can be able to say : therelisten there is a patriotic gesture to do, so we will encourage..

Us [Religion for Peace], we can not a priori predict or anticipate. What we sincerely hope is that in a frank, sincere, patriotic, fraternal, friendly dialogue, we can get to awareness everyone [...]"
