Haiti - Education : Training in earthquake-resistant construction - Campus Henri Christophe
The Rectorate of the State University of Haiti (UEH), in collaboration with the Belgian Development Cooperation has launched a week of workshops, in earthquake-resistant construction [14 to 18 January 2013] aimed at training professional technicians and engineers. This training will be held at the new Campus Henri Christophe (Limonade), will be taught by Haitian teachers and Belgian. Beneficiaries will have opportunities to acquire knowledge on earthquake-resistant construction, soil survey and the characteristics, technical and mechanical of soil.

"Making such training, in Limonade, is extremely important. Because we do not want to repeat the same mistakes, not to arrive at what had happened January 12, 2010," stressed Kelly Guerrier, a professor at the Faculty of Sciences.
