Haiti - CEP : Failed mediation, «Religions pour la Paix» abandons 26/01/2013 10:09:55 However, in Article 5 of the agreement, it was stated "The platform Religions for Peace Haiti will lead, with the assistance of the Executive and Legislative powers, the negotiations necessary to enable the Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ) to solve the problemrelated to the appointment of its representatives in the electoral institution [CEP]." The position of the Executive, within the constitutional framework, due to the independence of the 3 powers, remains unchanged, noting that it is the CSPJ that sent the names of these 3 representatives and that it is therefore to the CSPJ to convince them to leave. The executive stresses, that it is still possible to solicit his help, this is not its responsibility to intervene. Today, the situation is deadlocked due to the independence of the CEP and of 3 Powers.
