Haiti - Social : The Consul General of Haiti in New York, 3 times rewarded

The Consul General of the Republic of Haiti in New York, Mr. Charles A. Forbin received at the Gala organized by the TV channel "Caribbean Images TV", which celebrated its 17th anniversary of serving the Haitian community in New York, the Leadership Award Martin Luther King. The theme of the Gala made honor Martin Luther King and marked the inauguration of the 44th President of the United States, Barack H. Obama.
This award Martin Luther King, was awarded to the Consul General Forbin for his strong leadership qualities at the head of Consulate General of Haiti. Everyone knows the spirit of initiative and dedication of Mr. Forbin serving our countrymen. Upon taking office, he promised to implement reforms to facilitate consular services to the community. The opening hours have been extended Consulate during the week and on Saturdays until offices open 2:00 pm The elderly and disabled can now submit their documents through a legal representative, at home.
In addition, the Consul General of Haiti, was awarded the "City Council Citation" expresses the esteem of the community and of the City of New York for the excellence of his work, and was also the recipient of the "Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition" for the invaluable work it renders to the community.
