Haiti - Diplomacy : The President Martelly welcomes the return of Hugo Chavez
The President Michel Martelly welcomes the return, in good health, of Venezuelan President, Hugo Chavez, in his homeland after more than two months of absence, following a fourth surgery in Havana (Cuba) followed by radiotherapy and chemotherapy to defeat a pelvic cancer.

Remember that December 21, 2012, the President Martelly, at the initiative of the Ambassador of Venezuela to Haiti, Mr.Pedro Antonio Canino González, had participated in Pétion-Ville to a special Mass for the health recovery of Venezuelan President. The presence of President Martelly in this ceremony had shown the solidarity and the friendship degree of Haiti to the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in particular, and to the Government and the people of Venezuela in general.

On behalf of the Haitian people, the President promises to maintain fruitful bilateral relations with Venezuela which, like a faithful friend, continues to demonstrate its solidarity with Haiti.
