Haiti - Economy : Wilson Laleau met the Ambassador of the CARICOM 07/03/2013 09:20:41 Three major points were discussed within the framework of this meeting: the ability to make effective, in the CARICOM market, the new tariff line of the order of 40%, assigned to Haitian goods, the right of establishment of companies in the region and the capital movements. The Minister informed the Ambassador that he had constituted a commission to work on the right of establishment of companies in the region, which shall submit recommendations to the government and of essential elements to the understanding and implementation of public policy on this issue on March 11. The Ambassador Earl Stephen Huntley, pledged to cooperate to the work of this important Commission. In addition, of emissaries of CARICOM, will travel to Haiti soon to assess the progress of the points discussed. HL/ HaitiLibre
