Wednesday, students in plumbing, electrical, masonry of the section Professional Aptitude Brevet (BAP), of the workshop vocational school of Petit-Goâve, that falls within the National Institute for Vocational Training (INFP), a Decentralized Directorate of the Ministry of National Education, have proceeded in the afternoon, in protest, at the closure of the Vocational training center of the region of Palmes.

Student protesters demand better services and better learning conditions, we can note among their claims :
- The appointment of new qualified teachers
- Having working papers and drawing materials
- Have entrepreneurship courses, of computer and industrial plumbing
- Ensure that the courses are given regularly
- Provide the Centre with a small pharmacy for first aid care

"As long as our demands are not met, the doors of the workshop will remain closed, because in the last two months we have received very few courses," declared the angry students. They require to meet the Secretary of State for vocational training, Marina Gourgues to discuss the situation and of their demands.
