Haiti - Diaspora : The Minister Fidélia wants to redynamize the MHAVE
Monday, at the Ministry of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE), on the occasion of her first press conference since taking office January 23, 2013, the Minister of the Diaspora, Bernice Fidélia is committed to redynamize its ministry, to make it more efficient and allow it to fully play its role in the sensitization of Haitians abroad, on development issues in the country, including that of the environment.

For the Minister Fidélia "In my vision, I think it is a prerogative of closer the local Haitians and those of the diaspora [...] which must be seen as actors and actresses and not as observers in the affairs of the country [...]"

To this end, it intends a series of actions to promote the effective integration of the diaspora in the development and the affairs of the country including : the identification of the diaspora, to enable it to vote in future elections ; the establishment of committees of support and liaison to integrate the diaspora in the affairs of the country ; the creation of a Call Center for the direct communication with the MHAVE and the creation of a Consultative Council.

In addition, the Minister has confirmed the dates of the week of the diaspora from 17 to 21 April 2013, which will take place this year around the theme "Effective integration of the diaspora for a Haiti green". A week of fraternity and solidarity, a space for discussion around the possibilities and opportunities for our compatriots abroad, according to the Minister.
