Saturday, in order to remain attentive to the claims of the population, the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe met with several community organizations of Kenskoff in the locality of Furcy where several thousand people responded to the call of the Head of Government.

These activities, recalled the Head of Government, are integral parts of social programs implemented by his administration to help the most vulnerable, including the elderly and disabled, announcing "A pension program will be launched in favor of 65,000 elderly who live in various parts of the country."

"Through the National Plan of Social Assistance 'Ede-Pèp', that affects the 10 geographic departments, the Administration Martelly-Lamothe intends to provide effective responses to urgent needs expressed by the population," declared the Prime Minister.

Accompanied among others, of David Bazile, Minister of the Interior and Territorial Communities ; Charles Jean-Jacques, Minister of Social Affairs and Labour ; Mimose Félix Marie, Minister Delegate to the peasantry of the Primature ; of deputy of Kenskoff André-Gustave Louis and representatives of the international community, the Head of Government listened carefully the complaints of residents of Furcy and its surroundings and promised to deliver them to the next Council of Ministers to the attention of the Head of State and Government members.

In addition, the Japanese Ambassador Kenji Kuratomi and the Chargé d'affaires of Venezuela, José Luis Garcia Quiyada, speaking to community organizations, welcomed the initiative of the Government aimed at dialogue with Citizens, which is according to them, a first in the history of governance in this country. They also took the opportunity to reiterate the commitment of their countries to strengthen their cooperation with Haiti.

Following these meetings, the Prime Minister reiterated the commitment of his Government to continue the social dialogue throughout the national territory to remain attentive to the concerns of the Haitian people in order to find solutions lasting and durable.
