Haiti - Economy : Identification of Public-Private Partnerships in the port sector
Last week, Alix Célestin, Director General of the National Port Authority (APN) accompanied by Eric Smarcky Charles, Deputy Director General, of Guivar Nelson, Director of Finance and Jean Delpé Carrel, Director of Technical Office of the APN, have had a meeting with a delegation of the firm Castalia affiliated to the World Bank. The delegation was composed of Brian Samuel and Ms. Celine Brochard, accompanied by two employees of the Central Unit of Management/PPP [Public Private Partnership] of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Ms. Naed Jasmin and Mr. Jean Eric Bélinette.

The objective of this meeting was to identify, for the port sector, the projects related to Public-Private Partnership (PPP). As an indication, the CEO, mentioned projects concerning :

- Economic port poles to develop ;
- Maritime shuttles to overcome the permanent problem of congestion on the road of Carrefour
- Port concessions to be granted through the APN in the context of the reform of the port sector initiated by the Haitian State.
